Parallels Plesk 7 Reloaded Beta

Parallels today announces the availability of Plesk 7 Reloaded.Beta to the general public. Beta program participants will get a sneak peak of the next release of the world's most stable, easy-to-use, and feature-rich Unix/Linux control panel.

Plesk 7 Reloaded offers important new features:

Dr.Web Anti-Virus– Light version of the award winning (Virus Bulletin 100% Award) Dr.Web Anti-Virus filtering program will be included in the default installation of Plesk and offers leading frequency of updates and a comprehensive database of viruses containing more than 100,000 viruses. The heuristic virus scanning technology that detects new and unknown viruses without traditional virus fingerprints makes Dr.Web an effective anti-virus solution. The license will support up to free 15 mail accounts and can be upgraded to a version that will handle Unlimited Mail accounts on a system.

Automated Key Update System – Update your license directly from your Plesk software immediately upon upgrading. Admins with the touch of a button can receive the status of their license keys and update them directly from the Plesk interface. In addition leased keys will be able to renew automatically without the owner interaction. Managing a Plesk license has never been easier.

Plesk Auto Upgrade Mechanism – Automate software updates and upgrades directly from the Plesk interface. Now Admins will be able to provide more security knowing that they are running the newest and most secure version of Plesk. New features, patches, hot fixes and more will be upgradeable from their control panel interface.

International Domain Names – Complete support for the International Domain Naming conventions and their characters. Plesk new UTF8 interface redesign will fully recognize characters from Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, China, Arabia and any native language of the user’s choice.

Site Preview – Quick and easy live site previewing prior to DNS propagation. Admins, Clients and domain users will have at their finger tips a live preview interface for newly registered domains.

Additional Features:

Increased Security with an Option to allow Chrooted Shell Access – Increasing security is a theme with Plesk 7 Reloaded Admins can add Chrooted shell accounts as an option to the list of shells allowed for clients. When selected the client will be jailed in the domain’s directory when accessing the server and his domain via SSH.

Integrated Java SSH Client – Administrators never have to leave the Plesk interface to access the system via SSH for speed and convenience with the click of a button. Admins can open their own SSH client in Java for monitoring or performing command line tasks.

Application Vault Limitations and Permissions – Admin controlled permissions and limitations interface for the Applications in the Application Vault. Clients can now designate as “commercial” the applications that they want to be available to domain users (for extra fee only).

Event Manager Interface – Integrated with the Plesk interface, users will be able to create, delete, and manage system reactions to an increased number of events directly from the Plesk interface.

Professional Website Editor – Users now have an add-on option to install and use a powerful server solution for managing and creating web-sites with the browser-based WYSIWYG HTML editor. The new development tool is the easiest way for customers to create, modify and update their own website eliminating the need for technical HTML knowledge.
